Best Care for Life campaign
The $300 million Best Care for Life campaign is an unprecedented philanthropic effort aimed at raising the funds needed to complete the MUHC’s redevelopment project on the Glen, Mountain and Lachine campuses. Under the leadership of campaign chairman John A. Rae and conducted as a partnership of the Foundations of the MUHC, the campaign has already raised almost two-thirds of its $300 million objective. This achievement has been assisted in an important way by the success of the Best Care for Children campaign, under the Chairmanship of Marc Courtois, a longstanding Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation volunteer.

Campaign Phases
The Best Care for Life campaign is structured in three phases: the $150 million Leadership Phase which, thanks to the generosity of our community’s most magnanimous philanthropists, is now nearly complete; the Joint Corporate Campaign, conducted with the CHUM Foundation; and the Community Campaign, which is divided into several sub-divisions.
The Joint Corporate Campaign: $75 million
is an unprecedented partnership with the Foundation of the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM) to rally support for the rejuvenation of university health care in Quebec.
The McGill University Health Centre's redevelopment project is just one part of the government's larger plan to revitalize academic medicine across Quebec. In keeping with that objective, for the first time in the history of Montreal's two academic health centres, the MUHC Foundation and the Foundation of the Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CHUM) are entering into an historic partnership. Together, the MUHC and CHUM Foundations will approach Quebec's largest corporations and solicit gifts that will be split equally between the two organizations. This Joint Corporate Campaign has an overall target of $150 million: $75 million for the MUHC and $75 million for the CHUM.
The Community Campaign: $75 million
The MUHC has entered the Community phase of its $300 million Best Care for Life campaign to support the redevelopment project on the Glen and Mountain campuses − and is off to a great start.
