Background

Between 1999 and 2002, in order to allow our community to learn more about the MUHC’s redevelopment project, the Foundation created two informational forums: The Public Record and The Glen News. Both are comprehensively archived here and will help you learn more about how far the redevelopment project has come—and how far it still has to go.

The Public Record
Many members of the McGill University Health Centre community have made public statements in favour of the need for a new hospital. Most of these statements appeared in The Gazette, though some opinions were voiced in other venues too. These archived editions of The Public Record will let you in on the “insiders’” thoughts on the redevelopment project.

The Glen News
In the earlier days of the development of the MUHC’s Glen site, the Foundation created The Glen News, a monthly newsletter designed to keep the public up to date on all the latest news surrounding the site. The Glen News was there to help everyone keep better track of the planning, community outreach, communications, and project management of the redevelopment project. The links below will give you a look at PDF versions of the monthly newsletter, which the Foundation produced between October 2000 and November 2001.
