Recipes from Montreal’s Finest Restaurants

The MUHC Foundation is proud to announce the launch of Montreal Cooks, an elegant cookbook featuring hand-picked recipes from more than 25 of Montreal’s best restaurants. All profits from the sale of the book will go to support the treatment of women with cancer at the Women’s Health Mission of the McGill University Health Centre.

Meat Montreal Cooks is the brainchild of Karen Dubrofsky, a dedicated volunteer who approached the MUHC Foundation with her inspired vision almost a year ago. She then visited the kitchens of some of the city’s most renowned chefs, who generously opened their doors to her and to respected food photographer Fahri Yavuz, who documented every step of the process as the recipes were prepared and plated. The final step was for Karen and her friends to test the recipes at home, making sure that amateur chefs have everything they need to achieve restaurant-calibre results.

Accompanied by sumptuous photography, suggested wine pairings, nutritional analysis from MUHC clinical nutritionists and commentary from celebrities like Saku Koivu, Chantal Chamandy and Martin Brodeur, Montreal Cooks will be coveted by everyone from occasional cooks to experienced connoisseurs, and makes an ideal corporate or holiday gift.

BrowniesMontreal Cooks is on sale now for $39.95 at Jean Coutu pharmacies, on-site at the MUHC’s hospitals and online through the MUHC Foundation’s website. For more information on how you can purchase your copies, visit our website or call Cindy Collin at 514‑934‑5656.
