Cedars Golf Tournament turns 30
Spending a day on the golf course indulging in one of summer’s favourite pastimes while raising money for cancer care is an unbeatable combination.
On July 7, the Cedars Cancer Institute of the McGill University Health Centre will host its 30th Annual Golf Tournament at the beautiful Elm Ridge Country Club. Since its inception nearly 40 years ago, the Cedars Cancer Institute has raised millions to support im-proved diagnosis, treatment and research in oncology at the MUHC.
Proceeds from this year’s tournament go towards several areas of cancer care at the MUHC: purchasing an intra-operative MRI for the Montreal Children’s Hospital; supporting the Adult and Young Adolescent Program for cancer patients aged 18-29; and renovating the palliative care unit at the Montreal General Hospital.
To register for the tournament, please contact Jeff Shamie, Executive Director of the Cedars Cancer Institute, at 514-843-1606 or by email at jeff.shamie@muhc.mcgill.ca.
