Shop a Little, Give a Lot Fundraiser

The MUHC Foundation is thrilled to announce the resounding success of the first annual Shop a Little, Give a Lot fundraising event. Over the weekend of September 29 and 30 2007, more than 200 retailers in 13 malls from all across greater Montreal joined forces with the MUHC Foundation to donate 5% of their weekend sales to the Women’s Health Mission of the MUHC as part of the Best Care for Life campaign.

The event kicked off with a mid-week fashion show at Place Ville Marie, hosted by spokesperson Geneviève Borne. The weekend itself featured lively presentations by Doctors Lucy Gilbert and Angela Mallozzi, who inspired shoppers’ support at two busy centres, as well as posters, banners, and an army of volunteers who made sure that shoppers spent generously in our participating stores.

Proceeds are currently being tallied from what is sure to be the first in a yearly tradition. For those of you who came out, thanks for shopping, thanks for giving, and keep your eyes open for next year’s event.
