Pourquoi donner
Making a gift to the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) and its Best Care for Life campaign makes an immediate and tangible difference to the good health of our community. Whether you choose to direct your gift to an area of special significance to you, or to allow the MUHC to use your donation for an area of greatest need, you are helping make sure that the MUHC’s dedicated professionals can provide the excellent care, respected medical teaching and innovative research that every one of us deserves.
Caring for Trauma
When
Mark Louch saw a news report on the Montreal General Hospital’s Trauma
Centre, he was stirred to action. Since then, Louch has made monthly
donations to the McGill University Health Centre Foundation in support
of the hospital’s Department of Emergency Medicine.
Donations Without Borders
The Allan Memorial Institute recently became home to a generous donation from the Marjorie and Gerald Bronfman Foundation in support the Personality Disorders Program of the Mental Health Mission of the MUHC.
Connexion Cancer
Intrepid volunteer and cancer survivor Maude Woods-Lavoie has a simple goal: to better the hospital stays of patients undergoing cancer treatment by providing them with laptops and Internet
connections during their time in hospital.
Diabetes research gets boost from campaign donor
John and Patty Cleghorn knew they wanted to support the MUHC’s Best Care for Life campaign, and had a special interest in diabetes research. Once they heard about the incredible work of MUHC researcher Dr. Larry Rosenberg, they knew exactly where their gift should go.
Rosa Shields
Not everyone who needs a liver and kidney transplant would consider himself or herself lucky—but Rosa Shields counts her treatment at the MUHC amongst her blessings.
