The MUHC ranks fourth in Canada’s Top 40 Research Hospitals for 2011
RE$EARCH Infosource Inc., one of Canada's leading consulting firms, recently released its ranking of the top 40 Research Hospitals for 2011. The Research Institute of the MUHC (RI-MUHC) has claimed the fourth overall spot and the top spot in Quebec. The results were tallied based on research intensity, which includes both grants and contracts.

Private rooms reduce spread of disease
Montreal Gazette journalist Aaron Derfel sheds light on a study conducted by a group of researchers at the MUHC which suggests that single patient rooms can significantly reduce the spread of disease among hospital patients.The MUHC’s decision to create over 900 single patient rooms over the course of its redevelopment at the Glen, and Mountain campuses reflects the fact that patients are undoubtedly a number one priority. Request for Proposals issued for The MUHC’s Glen Campus
