Investigators are interested in finding new therapeutics targets for respiratory diseases and to conduct translational research. All these efforts require extensive collaboration between basic, clinical and epidemiological scientists. The Axis with its 50 members of diverse background and expertise fulfills this mission. Major sites of research include the Meakins-Christie Laboratories, Respiratory-Epidemiology Unit, which has just recently moved next to the Meakins-Christie Labs, the Seymour Heisler CF Laboratories at the Montreal Chest Hospital and Pediatric Respiratory unit at the Montreal Children Hospital.
