Robert Doyle

Robert Doyle was born in 1951 in Windsor, Ontario. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 1972 from McGill University with Honours in Political Science. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Civil Law in 1976 and a Bachelor of Common Law in 1978, both from McGill.
Mr. Doyle was called to the bar in 1978, and has been a partner at the national law firm of McCarthy Tétrault since 1984, where he specializes in commercial law, banking and financial services. Mr. Doyle is cited in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, a guide to the leading law firms and practitioners in Canada, as a leading lawyer in the area of banking and financial services.
Mr. Doyle is Past Chairman of the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation (1998-2000) and is a member of the executive committee and of the board of directors of that foundation. He is an invited guest on the Council for Child and Adolescent Services of the McGill University Health Centre.
