J. Robert Swidler

Robert Swidler has been Managing Partner for Canada of Egon Zehnder International Inc. since 1989. Mr. Swidler acquired a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University in 1968 and an MBA degree in Finance and Economics from Cornell University in 1970.

From 1970 to 1978, he was employed with Touche Ross & Co., an international public accounting and management consulting firm, and was named Partner of that organisation in June 1975. His responsibilities included direction of its national executive search practice. He established his own firm, J. Robert Swidler Inc., specialising in executive search in 1979, which became one of Canada's largest firms prior to its acquisition by Egon Zehnder International in 1989.

He specialises in CEO level and Board of Directors mandates across a broad cross-section of industries. Mr. Swidler has served on on the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors of Lower Canada College, the Board of the Montreal General Hospital Foundation and the Board of Advisors of the Canadian Club of Montreal.
