Temperatures may be rising but there is still a slight chill in the air around here. Why? Because plans are already afoot for the second edition of the SnowBall. That’s right: mark your calendars because January 29, 2009 is when Montreal’s most glamorous party will once again transform the Darling Foundry into a frosty winter wonderland. We won’t give away our secrets yet, but trust us: the coolest event of the year is going to be hotter than ever in ’09…

Friendship Across the Ocean
On April 13th, the historic Monument-National theatre came alive with the sounds of the orient as the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office hosted a concert of traditional Chinese music to benefit the Women’s Health Mission. The event was a rousing success, attracting luminaries like Montreal Mayor Gérald Tremblay and raising more than $60,000 to support our campaign.

Montreal Cooks is back just in time for Mother's Day
After selling out its first print run and raising more than $320,000 to support the treatment of women with cancer at the Women’s Health Mission, Montreal Cooks is back for a second helping. With another 10,000 copies in stores now, including national distribution through all Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix superstores across Canada, Karen Dubrofsky and her fellow culinary philanthropists are working hard to fill stomachs and to fill the coffers of the WHM.
