A new vision for the future
At the McGill University Health Centre, we understand that women's bodies are distinct, and not just in terms of reproduction. In order to adapt to the changing face of women's health, the MUHC is planning a revolutionary new Women's Health Center as part of its redeveloped facilities. Housed at the Glen campus, the new Women's Health Center will be the first of its kind in Canada, combining cutting-edge research, unparalleled specialized teaching, and one-stop care for all women's health needs. Driven by a commitment to excellence and housed in a facility that emphasizes comfort, privacy and the latest in medical technology, the new Women's Health Centre will give women of all ages the finest possible care.
In order to make this vision a reality, we need the help of people in our community who understand the importance of women's health. As part of the MUHC's $300 million Best Care for Life capital campaign, we are working to raise at least $15 for the Women's Health Mission alone. These funds will be used to undertake critical renovations and improvements to our current facilities and to help build the Women's Health Centre of the future at the Glen campus. For patients walking through our doors today and for generations of women that will follow, we are committed to doing everything we can to ensure that women in our community receive the specialized care they deserve.
Women’s Health CommitteeUnder the dynamic leadership of Pierrette Wong and Maryse Bertrand the Women’s Health fundraising committee brings together physicians, nurses and volunteers to raise funds, plan events and gather support for Women’s Health at the MUHC.
