MUHC Redevelopment Update

The MUHC recently welcomed the report from the Office de consultation publique de Montréal regarding the Mountain Campus; the government of Quebec will soon authorize a Request for Proposals for the Glen Campus.

Spring has been a busy period for the McGill University Health Centre’s (MUHC) redevelopment team, with important advances be-ing made in the planning for both the Glen and Mountain campuses.

In January 2008, the McGill University Health Centre unveiled a new preliminary plan for the Mountain Campus.

The McGill University Health Centre’s (MUHC) redevelopment project is on a solid path forward with the selection of two consortia as candidates for the private-sector partner in the Public Private Partnership (PPP) that will create the Glen campus.

While fundamental planning for the Glen campus is taking place, the redevelopment continues to advance with the completion of a number of critical renovation projects across the current sites.

All the land required to build the MUHC’s pediatric and adult hospitals, its research facilities and the Shriners Hospital is clean, safe and ready for construction; in fact, the work exceeds the strict standards of the Ministry. Meanwhile, the project is still in search of a project manager.
