On Wednesday, October 19, 2011, the 21st edition of the Research Institute of the MUHC Awards was presented at the Sofitel Hotel. Over $2 million in research grants was awarded to 85 well-deserving investigators, including Dr. Philip Wong, this year’s winner of The Kate McGarrigle Fund Fellowship Award, which supports teaching and research in Oncology.

Rufus Wainwright to give $1 from every ticket sold on his American tour

$1 from every ticket sold for this Summer's Rufus Wainwright American tour will go to the Kate McGarrigle Fund. As an inspirational tribute to the wonderful care that she received in her hometown of Montreal, Canada, Kate McGarrigle established the Kate McGarrigle Fund to supports cancer care and research at the McGill University Cancer Centre and the renowned teaching hospitals of McGill University in Montreal, including the McGill University Health Centre and the Jewish General Hospital. Donate to the Fund by buying a ticket for Rufus' show or by making a gift.
