On October 12, 2018, over 350 guests attended the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) Foundation’s annual Celebration of Life dinner-dance. Chaired by Rosa Shields, an organ transplant recipient, and President of the MUHC Organ Transplant Patients’ Committee, Celebration of Life has raised over a million dollars since its inception.

This year marked the event’s 20th anniversary – the emerald edition – and featured a testimony from recent heart transplant recipient Dennis Carranza. Click here to read about Dennis’ journey.

“The continued generosity of our donors and Rosa’s dedication has once again made Celebration of Life a tremendous success,” states Julie Quenneville, President of the MUHC Foundation.  “We cannot thank them enough for supporting the MUHC’s Multi-organ Transplant Program, which is recognized as a national leader in organ transplants, providing complex surgical services to kidney, pancreas, liver, heart, and combined organ transplant patients.”
